Abstract
211 examinations made, by the same ultrasongrapher, from January 2002 to December 2004 are reviewed. The Histerosonography is an cheaper method, of easy accomplishment, without complications, and feasible to make with minimum resources. In a group of patients, has been added to the accomplishment examination, the study of the endometrial cytology of the liquid endocavitario obtained a finalized time the procedure. The reference causes but frequent they are the endometrial polyp (42.65%), the thickened endometrial (27.49%) and the abnormal uterine bleeding (7.1%). The procedure was considered satisfactory in 83,8% of the patients, in this group of patients the polyp suspicion, the myomal pathology were the suspicion diagnoses that greater yield diagnosis they had. The diagnosis with greater correlation between previous US-TV and HSG is the one of endometrial polyp. The introduction of the cytological study of liquid eliminated of endometrial washing contributes in 70,8% of the cases a negative cytological diagnosis for neoplasics cells.

Resumen
Se revisan 211 exámenes realizados, por el mismo médico ecografista, desde 01 de enero 2002 al 31 de diciembre 2004. La Histerosono-grafía (HSG) es un método económico, de fácil realización, sin complicaciones, y factible de realizar con mínimos recursos. En un grupo de pacientes, se ha adicionado el estudio de la citología endometrial del líquido endocavitario obtenido por aspiración una vez finalizado el procedimiento(12).
Las causas de referencia más frecuentes son el pólipo endometrial (42.65%), el endometrio engrosado (27.49%) y el sangrado uterino anormal (7.1%).
El procedimiento fue considerado satis-factorio en un 83.88% de las pacientes. En este grupo de pacientes la sospecha de pólipo, la patología miomatosa fueron los diagnósticos de sospecha que mayor rendimiento diagnóstico tuvieron. El diagnóstico con mayor correlación entre US-TV previo e HSG es el de Pólipo endo-metrial.
La introducción del estudio citológico del líquido de lavado endometrial aporta en un 70.8% de los casos un diagnóstico citológico negativo para células neoplásicas.
